Pump Skids
Equipment arrangement and support integration for pump-based mechanical systems.
Skids, frames and supports I've designed for compressor packages, fuel systems, PSA equipment and auxiliaries. The job is fitting equipment, piping, instruments and access onto a frame that can actually be fabricated.
Equipment arrangement and support integration for pump-based mechanical systems.
Structural arrangements for packaged equipment, auxiliaries and associated piping.
Tank and auxiliary equipment integration into transportable or packaged structures.
Support and arrangement of instrument panels, junction boxes and associated mechanical interfaces.
Mechanical frames and equipment integration for mobile and portable fuel systems.
Access platforms, structural frames and equipment supports, laid out to suit each package.
My own GA for a skid-mounted diesel dispensing unit (F-02). It is an RFQ design, completed and awaiting PO, not a built unit. Explore the drawing to see how the tank, nozzles, access and dispensers are arranged on one frame.
DESIGNED: 3D structural and mechanical arrangements around equipment, piping and package interfaces.
PERFORMED: Equipment positioning, support arrangement, access considerations and interface definition within the overall package.
REVIEWED: Detailed manufacturing drawings produced by team members where the project required delegated drafting.
I use the 3D model as the one reference for equipment, piping, supports and interfaces.
I take equipment weight, piping/interface loads and the project's support requirements into account as the package develops.
I turn package arrangements into GA and fabrication drawings and answer production queries.
I coordinate mechanical requirements with procurement, instrumentation, production, customers and vendors.
Customer drawings and structural calculations are confidential, so this page describes the skid work as a category instead of showing them. The worked example above is my own RFQ design, shown with its drawing number removed.
